Synapse Interactive is a personal project set in a fictional company of the same name.
The whole piece takes place in a world that feels like a laboratory — a space where I wanted to quietly explore how mechanical control and human perception might be connected.

The subtitle, neural engineering & control theory, reflects the tension between humans and machines, between control and response. It’s not just about the tech, but the invisible signals, emotions, and relationships that move through it all.

The focus is on figures caught in a system — the controlling and the controlled. They’re linked through complex machinery, and as the signals flow and the machines repeat their motions, a kind of power structure slowly becomes visible. Their dynamic hints at something deeper: not just control, but domination, submission, even a metaphorical sense of good and evil.

Instead of using AI-generated images and video as-is, I added time remapping, particles, lens distortion, and other VFX. These effects were a way to bring more rhythm and texture to the visuals — to create a layered, abstract space where signals and feelings blur together.
